I grew up in a traditional Sephardic home where Shabbat and kashrut were always present, though we weren’t always fully religious. Over time, my family grew in Torah—each of us at our own pace—and that journey gave me a deep appreciation for what it really means to live a meaningful, Torah-centered life. This aspect in my life allowed me explore and appreciate growth and Torah from each individual in their own ways. Born in Mexico, raised in Vancouver, and now in Toronto, I’ve had the opportunity to grow in warm communities that helped shape my connection to Torah. NCSY and kiruv were big parts of that—helping others discover the beauty of Torah helped strengthen my own path. My year at Tomer Devorah Seminary gave me strong foundations and mentors I still turn to today. I’m now at university studying health sciences and, b’ezrat Hashem, hope to become a doctor. I take this goal seriously and am looking for someone who understands and supports the dedication that comes with it. At the same time, I value and take priority of my family always and creating an environment filled with love of Torah, creativity, and open doors connecting with people, and growing in all areas. I’m looking for someone who has a good, strong balance and outlook of life of Torah Im Derech Eretz. One who values Tefilah and Torah and growth with love and happiness to serve Hashem . Someone who is Moroccan or Syrian Sefardí preferably. One who has aspirations to help others in whatever way that means to him and even though it gets hard, it doesn’t tear him down or discourages him; he turns to Hashem and recognizes His constant Presence. One who appreciates nature and the world around him, who connects with others as well. I’m looking for someone who is growth oriented and a positive person. One who values family and is close with and respects/values his parents. It would be nice to meet someone also who speaks or understands Spanish. Someone who is 22-26 years old. Someone who is considerate of others and their own paths in Torah and connects with them. I value in someone who is reflective, who doesn’t let life go by but takes lessons from experiences and life, and who has good mentors in his life, and a good relationship with his Rabbi.
